Theft

by Kathy McFarland - Saturday, 9 November 2013, 7:09 AM

The unjustified taking or keeping the goods of another, against his will. There is no theft if the universal destination of goods is violated past reasonable judgment.  For instance, the theft of provisions to provide for the essential life needs of a person (food, shelter, clothing, etc), especially the gleaning of produce first given by God or the occupancy of an emptied space for survival purposes, is not a sin.  (Eighth Commandment Violation, Exodus 20:15)
