Throughout our Holy Spirit Bible studies, we will reference Isaiah 11:1-2 often. This is the Scriptural reference that lists the different Spirits that rested fully on the Lord Jesus Christ when He was born. Let’s review:
LORD GODʹs spirit which rests on Jesus
Spirit of the Lord (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Wisdom (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Understanding (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Counsel (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Might (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Fear of the LORD (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Spirit of Knowledge (Isaiah 11:1‐2)
Please note that the Spirit of Judgment is not resting fully on Jesus. As He walked upon this earth, He was equipped by His Father with the above-listed Spirits. Isn’t it interesting that the Spirt of Judgment is not one of them?
John 12:44–50 (KJV 1900)
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
1. The Lord Jesus Christ did not have the Spirit of Judgment resting fully upon Him when He was on earth.
2. The Lord Jesus Christ was not put on this earth to “JUDGE” people; His mission was to offer “SALVATION” to the world.
3. It is His Father, the LORD God, that will judge those that reject Him while He was upon this earth.
4. The LORD God will be the One that judges those that reject Christ in the last day.
Revelation 20:11–15 (KJV 1900)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
5. It is the LORD God that will be judging the living and the dead that rejected the Lord Jesus Christ in their lifetime.
6. It will be the LORD God that will cast those not written in the book of life into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:5–8 (KJV 1900)
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
7. It is the LORD God that is the great I AM. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end.
8. It is the LORD God that gives the fountain of the water of life freely to all that thirst for it.
9. It is the LORD God that gives inheritance to the overcomers.
10. It is the LORD God that will be overcomers God, and they shall be His sons.
11. It is the LORD God that will judge the fearful, unbelievers, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars. He will judge them and throw them into the lake of fire and brimstone.

Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

I know the unease that many of you excellent Christian students are having right now. Doctrines and Creeds of many different religions speak of the Lord Jesus Christ judging the living and the dead. I am a Bible Teacher that bases interpretation on Scripture alone. I understand why the Doctrines and Creeds of many religions choose to make Jesus Christ the ultimate judge by declaring the Triune God as all three, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. However, both He and prophecy speak of the LORD God holding that position. So who does the Lord Jesus Christ judge?
Acts 10:39–43 (KJV 1900)
39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: 40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
23. The Lord Jesus Christ will be the Judge of the quick and dead.

Dead - 3738 νεκρός (nekros),
ά (a), όν (on): adj.; ≡ DBLHebr 4637; Str 3498; TDNT 4.892—1. LN 23.121 dead, lifeless, pertaining to a class of persons (Mt 8:22; 10:8; Jn

powerless, pertaining to being unable to respond (Eph 2:5); 4. LN 33.137 that is not the issue (Mt 8:22; Lk 9:60+), see 2507 last[11]
24. The Lord Jesus Christ will be the Judge to those Baptized Christians Resurrected and those Christians that died IN CHRIST without baptism, Resurrected in the End Days from their graves.
Matthew 25:31–46 (KJV 1900)
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
25. The Lord Jesus Christ will have a glorious throne to sit upon, surrounded by holy angels, to judge HIS FOLLOWERS.
26. All nations that heard of the Lord Jesus Christ and made decision on whether to embrace Him in faith, will gather around His throne.
27. It is the works that the Righteous do to the least of Christ’s brethren, that will the Lord Jesus Christ use to evaluate whether they are sincere in their faith or telling lies to gain access.
28. Did his followers of faith follow His teachings, help the least, and in turn, honor Him through that process? The righteous are seen as workers in His name and sent into life eternal. Those that did not, to everlasting punishment by Him, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We haven’t even studied The Spirit of Judgment yet! What’s going on?!? Before we can study the Spirit of Judgment, it seemed important to figure out the responsibilities of the LORD God and the Lord Jesus Christ. If we understand those responsibilities perfectly, then we can learn all we can about that Spirit of Judgment and where the task of judgment originates. There will be a Spirit of Judgment (Part 2) next week! Looking forward to the journey!
